Women empowerment is not just a goal — it is a movement toward equality, dignity, and opportunity.
To empower women through education, skill development, and awareness to achieve independence and equality.
A society where every woman in India is confident, self-reliant, and empowered to make her own choices.
Equality, dignity, opportunity, inclusiveness, compassion, and empowerment for all women.
Our NGO is dedicated to uplifting women from all walks of life by providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to become confident, independent, and self-reliant individuals.
We believe that when women are empowered, families thrive, communities grow stronger, and societies progress. Our organisation works at the grassroots level to address the challenges women face, including lack of education, financial dependence, gender discrimination, and limited access to healthcare.
At JMV Child Care Foundation, we believe that self-realisation and individual empowerment are fundamental to achieving social change. Our experience and various studies indicate that empowering women leads to broader societal benefits. However, in India, many women are still denied basic rights such as health, education, employment, and respect.
"Streeshakti," meaning "women's power," represents our commitment to addressing these issues through a simple yet effective approach. Initially piloted and later stabilised, Streeshakti focuses on enhancing both individual and collective self-esteem and inner strength among marginalised and socially excluded women and adolescent girls through innovative community practices.
Our programme is built on the "4S Pillar" strategy:
Seeking healthcare: Promoting healthcare as a fundamental behaviour.
Through these approaches, Streeshakti identifies women and girls in the community and trains them as Change Agents, who then contribute actively to community mobilisation.
Empowering women through health, awareness, and community leadership.
Access to healthcare and awareness empowers women to lead healthier, more confident lives.
"I was sick for the longest time and had lost all hope of giving birth."
Rakhi faced immense pressure from her family to have a child. Despite conceiving multiple times, her poor health prevented her from carrying any pregnancy to term.
Without access to proper medical care, her situation became increasingly difficult. When volunteers from the Streeshakti programme learned about her condition, they immediately stepped in to help.
She received medical guidance, nutritional support, and counselling for her husband, helping him understand the importance of care and support. With improved health and family support, Rakhi's condition transformed — today, she is six months pregnant and looks forward to embracing motherhood with hope and confidence.
