2020 has been a tough year for all of us–but more so for children from underprivileged communities as they were forced to fight a battle that their families were not prepared for. They are at risk of falling deeper into poverty during this crisis, and this will reduce the number of children going to school and more children joining the workforce as unskilled labour.
The pandemic may have left a trail of destruction in its wake for such children, but at JMVCCF, we’re continuing to do everything possible to help them survive this crisis and have a chance at a brighter future in this year. But we cannot do this alone. Women Empowerment: With adolescent girls, it is estimated that nearly 10 million secondary school girls in India could drop out due to the pandemic, putting them at risk of prior marriage, early pregnancy, poverty, and violence.
Women play a crucial role in the overall development process. Global basis, many more women lack the skills required for entrepreneurial ventures. The absence of integrated and need based programs and non-availability of skills to develop women as “entrepreneurs” further inhibits the efforts.
- We need to impart women and housewives with basic managerial skills and understandings so that they can run the project efficiently and effectively.
- We need to equip the women entrepreneurs with effective communication skills.
- We need to make the women/housewives aware about the laws and rights regarding entrepreneurship to overcome any future problems.

Mission Skill Development
As the youth population has increased over the years, so have the opportunities for them but problems ranging from financial difficulties, to lack of educational opportunities to unemployment and many more have ridden their lives.
They must get employment opportunities to get out of stigma and support their families who depend on them. During pandemic situation, JMVCCF enrolled youths for different courses like English Proficiency, Basic Computer Education and Soft Skills for enhancing their prospects of employment in the fast expanding retail, hospitality and BPO sectors. We need immediate support for them so that they can complete their respective courses and get gainful employment. After they complete their training, we facilitate work placements with our corporate partners or support them to move into self-employment to provide long term financial security for the students and their families.
The sooner we realize their potential as the future of our country, the sooner we will collectively benefit.
